I. Admission Requirements

1. Academic record equivalent to senior high school or above;

2. Capacity of language learning and communication in English;

3. Students holding HSK are preferred;

4. Havinginterests in Chinese language and adequate understanding in Chinese culture, society and economy;

5. Good self-discipline and interpersonal skills for independent living and studying;

6. Being in good health. Financial support from family to cover living and traveling expenses of studying in China. Date of Birth: after August 31st, 2000.

II. Academic Schedule

1. Study Duration: 3 years,and2 semesters a year;

2. Spring Semester: March to June (July to August for summer vocation, to be confirmed with school calendar.)

3. Autumn Semester: September to December (January or February for winter vocation, to be confirmed with school calendar.)

III. Teaching Arrangement

1. Mainly focuses on professional courses, skills and practice.

2. Passing all the coursesas well as HSK 5is qualified for graduation, and the Diploma of SVHC will be issued.

3. Academic Majors: refer to Attachment I.

IV. Extra-curriculum Activities

1. Student society: Calligraphy, Taiji, etc.

2. Other activities: Mandarin Corner, Chinese Song Singing Course, Chinese Movie Appreciation, Chinese Culture Gala, Sports Events, New Year Party, etc.

3. Social practice.

Digital version of all the above-mentioned documents and digital version of passport-sized photo. (See Attachment II for requirements of digital photo.)

2. If applicant is accepted, SVHC will send him or her SVHC Admission Letterand Visa Application for Study in China (JW202)via E-mail before July 31st, 2024. The successful applicant goes to Embassy of People’s Republic of China with the above-mentioned documents to apply for student visa(X1).

3. Successful applicants should bring their SVHC Admission Letter, Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) andForeigner Physical Examination Form (original) (this form only valid for 6 months) to complete registration procedures within the prescribed time indicated on the SVHC Admission Letter. Those who could not complete registration procedures2 weeksafter the prescribed time will be handled as voluntarily relinquished cases. All the applicants are required to complete medical check-up at authorized facilities after enrollment in China. Only those who successfully pass the medical check-up could be eligible to be enrolled.

VI. Support Policies

1. Scholarship

Scholarship assessment will be carried out each term based on student number and specialty distribution.
2. Subsidy

(1) Tuition,accommodation,physical examination and medical insurance deduction. After registration, students with financial difficulties may apply for tuitionand accommodation,physical examination and medical insurance deduction, academic departments deliver documents to Students’Affairs Department after examination and approval.

(2) Living Allowance

6000 yuan/year (500 yuan/person/month)

Students with financial difficulties may submit application, academic departments deliver documents to Students’Affairs Department after examination and approval, students submit application form every month according to the requirements.

3. Part-time work

Students with financial difficulties may apply for the part-time jobs on campus, thus get paid through work to ease the family financial burden.

Attachment II:

Requirements of digital photo

1. Color 2-inch bareheaded ID photo with a white background and no border.

2. The head occupies 2/3 of the photo size. The photo size should be no less than 320x240 pixels with an aspect ratio of 4:3.

3. The file size should be between 100-500KB in JPG format.
