SVHC Successfully Organizes the Medical and Health Professional Training Course Project of International Medical University of Malaysia

Recently, the Medical and Health Professional Training Course Project organized by Suzhou Vocational Health College at the International Medical University of Malaysia (IMU) was successfully implemented. Hu Ying, Deputy Director of the School of Pharmacy, Bie Ru'e from the Student Affairs Office, and Sun Zhandong, teacher from the School of Clinical Medicine，led a delegation of 25 outstanding student representatives from various majors to visit IMU, where they engaged in a series of course studies and academic exchange activities. The project, which lasted for 6 days, aimed to enhance the professional quality and international vision of our college's faculty and students through high-quality training courses, and to promote academic exchange and cooperation in the field of medical and health care.

Since its launch, SVHC has meticulously organized and carefully arranged to ensure the smooth progress of the training courses. During the study visit, teachers and students gained an in-depth understanding of IMU's educational philosophy, teaching characteristics, and scientific research achievements, and the two sides had extensive and in-depth exchanges on curriculum settings, teaching methods, and scientific research cooperation in the field of medical education.

Senior professors and experts from IMU provided our teachers and students with a rich array of course content, including both theoretical knowledge and practical operation guidance, covering various aspects such as pharmacy, nursing, medical technology, dentistry, and public health. At IMU, students observed a pharmaceutical chemistry workshop, participated in the fascinating bullet game—drug modeling, learned to extract anthocyanins, tested the acidity and alkalinity of unknown solutions, and used medical equipment to explore the mysteries of medicine, understand nursing principles, and learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques, blood sugar measurement, and intravenous injection in an open ward. In the laboratory, students studied biomedical and pharmaceutical biotechnology. In addition, students visited the Columbia Hospital and became familiar with highly automated electrocardiogram equipment. During the training process, our teachers and students actively participated and studied diligently, engaging in in-depth exchanges and discussions with IMU's faculty and students. These theoretical studies and field visits allowed teachers and students to experience Malaysia's medical environment and service level, further broadening their horizons.

In addition to academic exchanges, teachers and students also actively participated in a variety of cultural activities. Malaysia, located in Southeast Asia, is a tropical country known not only for its multiculturalism and cuisine but also for its unique natural landscapes and rich historical relics that attract countless tourists. Teachers and students actively interacted with locals, deeply feeling the charm and inclusiveness of Malaysia's multiculturalism.

The International Medical University of Malaysia, as a private institution of higher learning with healthcare at its core, enjoys a high reputation in various fields such as medicine, pharmacy, and nursing. The successful implementation of this cooperative project not only provided our teachers and students with a platform to deeply understand international advanced medical technology and health concepts but also laid a solid foundation for long-term cooperation and exchange between the two sides.
