Triumph! SVHC Wins Gold and "Outstanding Organization Award" at the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition Finals
From April 15 to 18, the finals of the 2nd National College Student Career Planning Competition were grandly held in Changsha, Hunan Province. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government under the theme "Building Dreams in Youth, Planning for the Future," the event attracted over 15.07 million students from 2,763 universities and colleges nationwide. After rigorous selection, more than 750 outstanding contestants advanced to the finals. Zhang Tong, a student from our School of Public Health (advisor: Li Linyang), claimed the gold medal in the Employment Track of the vocational education category, while Suzhou Vocational Health College was honored with the "Outstanding Organization Award."

SVHC has long prioritized graduate employment, fully implementing the "Top Leader Responsibility System" for employment and entrepreneurship. From program design and talent cultivation to internships, career guidance, and employment services, we emphasize a unified, employment-driven approach focused on enhancing students’ core competencies. By leveraging the career planning competition’s educational value, we uphold the principles of "promoting learning, teaching, and employment through competitions", refining our college-level competition framework to encourage broad participation. During preparations, college leaders provided repeated guidance, while the Admissions and Employment Office collaborated closely with schools to form project teams, conduct expert reviews, and organize mock defenses. These efforts have borne remarkable fruit: in 2025 alone, our students secured 1 national gold, 3 provincial golds, 1 provincial silver, and 1 provincial bronze, significantly boosting graduates’ core ability and high-quality employment outcomes.

Hosting and participating in such competitions is a concrete action to deeply implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on doing a good job in the employment and entrepreneurship of college graduates. It reflects our commitment to advancing national policies on graduate employment and empowering students to align personal aspirations with societal needs. Moving forward, we will fully implement the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and cultivating talent, further strengthening the employment service system by integrating career education into a whole-person, whole-process, and all-round education framework. We aim to help students develop sound professional ethics, realistic employment expectations, and informed career choices. Guided by the principle of aligning personal aspirations with national priorities, we will empower graduates to embrace their role in advancing the nation’s development, equipping them to thrive under the new development paradigm. Through this approach, we will nurture a generation of highly skilled professionals and master artisans capable of adapting to the new development paradigm and serving China’s strategic needs.
