Hou Yanan from SVHC Wins Third Prize in the Speech Contest of the 12th National Japanese Language Skills Competition for Vocational Colleges

On October 13th, the 12th National Japanese Language Skills Competition for Vocational Colleges successfully concluded at East China Normal University. The competition brought together elite students from vocational colleges across the country that offer Japanese language programs, showcasing their exceptional language skills and profound professional expertise. Hou Yanan, a student majoring in pharmacy at our university, won the third prize in the speech contest with her outstanding performance, bringing honor to our college.

This competition not only comprehensively tested the Japanese language proficiency of the participants but also served as a platform to showcase the teaching achievements of Japanese language programs in vocational colleges. Hou Yanan, as the only non-Japanese major student, stood out with remarkable performance. In the speech contest, she integrated her background in pharmacy into her presentation, passionately depicting her vision for her future career under the theme "Me in Ten Years." She expressed her aspiration to contribute to China's grassroots healthcare sector by utilizing her pharmaceutical knowledge to serve elderly residents in rural areas, thereby enhancing the level of primary healthcare services in our country.
