“Future Africa： China-Africa Vocational Education Program Delegation" Successfully Completes Visit

In order to implement the spirit of the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Summit, effectively promote the "Future Africa：China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Plan", and deepen collaboration in the field of vocational education between China and Africa, the "Future Africa：China-Africa Vocational Education Program" delegation, organized by the Ministry of Education and executed by the China Education Association for International Exchange, conducted an in-depth exchange and friendly visit to the Republic of Gabon and the Republic of Uganda in December. The delegation was led by An Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, and consisted of 21 members, including representatives from China Education Television and 10 Chinese vocational colleges. Xu Ying, Deputy Director of the Teaching Affairs Office, and Sheng Jiejin from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our college participated in the visit.

During the visit, with the strong support of relevant government departments in the two countries, the Chinese embassies abroad, and Chinese enterprises, the delegation attended bilateral vocational education cooperation seminars between China and Gabon as well as China and Uganda. They met with representatives from ministries, government departments, and local Chinese enterprises responsible for vocational education in the two countries, visited the Chinese embassies in both nations, and toured vocational education institutions and school-enterprise cooperation projects. The delegation promoted the achievements of China's vocational education development, gained an in-depth understanding of the vocational education systems in the two countries, and explored opportunities for cooperation between Chinese and local vocational institutions under the framework of the "Future Africa: China-Africa Vocational Education Cooperation Plan".

This visit to Gabon and Uganda as part of the "Future Africa: China-Africa Vocational Education Program Delegation" marks a new step for our college in actively responding to the "Belt and Road" initiative, integrating international educational resources, and expanding international cooperation. It is an important measure to open a new chapter in international educational cooperation in the African region. Our college will continue to uphold the principles of mutual benefit, win-win cooperation, and shared development, deepening collaboration with the African vocational education community to jointly promote the prosperity and development of vocational education, and contribute more wisdom and strength to China-Africa vocational education cooperation.
